First 200 words in Dutch…

Tuesdays are vocab days. Out of my 220 words I got 160 words right off the cuff, of which I was pretty proud off. Later on this evening I went through the remaining 80 words and picked up another 22. What I am talking about it looking at the Dutch word and knowing what it means in English. I am quiet proud of my expanding vocabulary with 38 words I cant quiet commit to memory today.

Words that are causing me difficulty are certain verbs I have never come across before such as; to offer, to , to , etc.

These words will come I know they will it will just take a tad more practicing. Current method of learning these words literally include the old fashioned β€œLook-Cover-Read-Check”.

Tomorrow I plan to cover the remaining 38 words and to work back through the 182 I know but looking at the English and saying the Dutch. My plan is to master these words by the end of the month. I have a feeling that I am going to be better at remembering these words in the context of a sentence. I’ll probably try that next week.

So far so good! This list isn’t including the little bits I know like numbers, times of the day. I’m surprising myself with my knowledge. Soaking it up like a sponge!
